Blackpool is choc full of chip shops,burger bars and other fast food outlets. These are ok if there is nowhere else but there is. Now the locals will not like this but if you can get away from the front there are better tasting and you will pay the sorts of prices you pay at home.

Jusy a couple of examples are on Topping St lots of restuarants here from italian to french. For chippys try these, The cottage on newhouse road, Yorkshire house chip shop on waterloo road.
Also inland there are the usual kfc, macdonalds, pizza huts etc, to go to that will not be as packed as the ones in the tourists areas.

There are lots of shows in blackpool but I would personally recommend mystique on the pleasurebeach this is one show for all the family.

Also another great place is Funny Girls near the train station. This is a cabaret bar with a difference, they are drag queens, not for children but this is a night out you will enjoy to the max. There are night clubs and these change every year so just ask about when you get there.

A controversial aspect of Blackpool's night-life is its hen and stag parties. Brides or bridegrooms-to-be respectively, along with their friends, often dressed alike in absurd or risqué attire, roam the town's many bars and clubs getting increasingly drunk. Their rowdy behaviour is claimed to discourage family visitors and has led to complaints from hotel and guest house owners keen to attract a more upmarket clientele.
